Long-Range Performance
Manufacturer specifications about the Grand Banks 49 fuel consumption are useful, but years of actual cruising experience tell the real story. B.O.L.O. has been continuously refined for comfortable, efficient cruising, and the following figures reflect the owner's experience over 17 years of operation.

Over 17 years of ownership, B.O.L.O. has consistently averaged one gallon of fuel per nautical mile. This figure includes both propulsion and generator fuel consumption, providing a realistic picture of long-term operating efficiency.

With the current lithium battery bank and solar charging system, B.O.L.O. has successfully remained up to 21 consecutive days at anchor without operating either the main engines or the onboard generator.
Daily electrical needs—including refrigeration, lighting, electronics, and most cooking—are comfortably supported by the onboard electrical system.
Cooking is primarily done using two Ninja countertop multicookers and a compact electric oven, significantly reducing generator use while enjoying life at anchor.
